The Steam service sets to share your gameplay activity by default. Therefore, the following can show three different solutions to make how to hide steam activity. Hence, if you also don’t know how to hide what Steam games you are playing, and you can follow the solutions.

Hide Steam Activity From Privacy Settings:

Here, you may hide the Steam game activity by changing the privacy settings. Thus, if you don’t know how to hide Steam activity via the privacy settings, you need to follow the steps below.

Step 1. Here, you may launch the Steam client on your PC and click on your Steam name on the ribbon bar at the top. You have to choose Profile from the drop-down menu to access the Profile page of your account.

Step2. Hence, you need to click the Edit my Profile to edit your Steam Profile on the right section of the screen.

Step 3. Then you can also see the My Privacy Settings button on the right side of the window. Click on it to change your privacy settings.

Step 4. You may find the My Profile entry and click the drop-down menu near the Game Details in the Privacy Settings window. Then choose the Private from the drop-down menu, which can set the Game Activity to Private.

You may check if the above steps successfully hide your Steam activity from private settings. To do this, right-click on a space in Steam, and you can select Copy Page URL from the pop-up window. You can also paste the copied URL to your browser and check if the game activity is hidden. However, if this method doesn’t work for you, you can move down to the following way.

Hide Steam Activity From Steam Chat:

When you’ve started playing the game or see that you’re playing it on their friend’s list, and if you don’t want all your friends getting a notification, you can set it offline or become invisible on Steam chat.

Step 1. Here, click the Friends and Chat option in Steam.

Step 2. Click on the username and choose Offline or Invisible status.

When it does, the game information could still be visible under the profile page. Still, your friends can’t be able to see what games you’re playing right now. Thus, if you set the Game details to Private, your friends will not be able to see the game you’re playing even if you’re the online status in Steam chat.

Set Your Profile to Private:

Here, another way for Steam hide game activity is to set the Profile as private. Therefore, this means that you can be completely isolated from friends and other gamers you connect with while playing.

Here, functions like Friend List, Inventory, Game details, and the ability to post comments will be affected while the mode is enabled. If you don’t mind these limits, follow the steps below to set your Profile to Private:

Step 1. Follow steps 1 -3 is the Solution 1 to open My Private Settings.

Step 2. Click the drop-down menu then My Profile and change the status from Public to Private from the drop-down menu in the Privacy Settings window.

The change will make immediately. Then, you can view your Profile and check if Steam hides game activity or not.

Hide Gameplay Activity From Steam Chat:

If you’re the only kind of embarrassed about the game you’re currently playing. Maybe you don’t care if it’s listing on your profile page, but you don’t want all your friends getting a notification that you’d started playing the game or see that you’re playing it on their friend’s list. You may go offline or become invisible on Steam chat.

Here, click the “Friends and Chat” option in Steam, click your username, and select “Offline” or “Invisible.” Therefore, your friends won’t be able to see what you’re playing right now. Thus, Michael tell says that this information will still appear on your profile page.

Note that setting your “Game details” to Private will prevent your friends from seeing the games you’re playing, even if you’re online in Steam chat.
